About B Coaching and Consulting

B Coaching and Consulting is the coaching and nonprofit consulting business of Belma González.

Belma has over 25 years experience in the nonprofit sector and specializes in cultural- and assets-based coaching for diverse nonprofit leaders, activists and others.

She also provides consulting services to organizations committed to social change especially for people of color and others from underserved communities.

For six years, prior to founding B Coaching and Consulting, Belma worked as a Program Coordinator with Center for Collaborative Planning's Women's Health Leadership program, a leadership development program with over 300 primarily women of color graduates throughout California.

Prior to CCP, Belma was Director of Women's Needs Center, a free clinic in San Francisco serving low-income, uninsured women. Belma is a Certified Coach through the Coaches Training Institute and completed the Professional Development for Consultants program of the National Community Development Institute (NCDI).

Belma lives in North Oakland with her husband, Mike Waters, a web developer and jazz musician.
